**The 2008 Noisy Offering has begun! Our youngsters are collecting change each
Sunday through November so check your pockets, sofa cushions, car seats and
other places those nickels and dimes usually hide ... (quiet money and checks
work too!) The proceeds of the annual noisy offering are divided between the
ELCA World Hunger Fund and Heiffer International and will be matched by Thrivent.
** Adopt-a-Highway pickup is Saturday, November 8 at 9
AM. Let Jim Sheatsley know if you can help. Youth 12 and older are
encouraged to participate in this community service.
**The next SAINTS meeting will be
on Wednesday, November 12 at 6:30 P.M. Dinner and a Bible Study,
fellowship and planning the next big project - Christmas Gift Wrapping at the
Crossroads Mall.

**St. Luke will be observing
Thanksgiving Sunday, November 16 after worship, thanking God for
all His marvelous blessings with a dinner prayerfully provided by the members of
the congregation.
**Along with our Thanksgiving
dinner on November 16, we will once again have a Silent Auction to
benefit our Mission Support obligation. Help is needed in two ways –
donations of items or services to be auctioned and bids on those donations.
Items, or descriptions of services, can be brought to the Fellowship Hall
anytime prior to the dinner so folks can start looking and bidding. And don’t
miss Auction Day – this a FUN-draiser!
**Thanksgiving Service

**Join us at St. Luke for a
brief service of Holy Communion and prayer each Thursday at 12:15. We
begin at 12:15 to allow
those who work time to arrive in time. Come every week or come when
you are able for the renewing gift of life found in Christ and prayer
